About Me
I’ve been taking photographs for a good part of my life, encouraged at the age of 9 by my Dad who was a long time photo enthusiast. I started with a B&W photography club in the 3rd grade and enjoyed film photography until I bought my first digital camera in 2003. Digital photography opened up a new world, and I now continue to expand my photography skills as technology evolves.
Since moving to Florida in 2009, I have explored the area's natural areas and discovered the wonderful variety of bird species that can be found here.. I started out photographing them in local parks and then became very fascinated by the birds themselves--their behavior, their history and identification. I know consider myself to be both an very enthusiastic birder and bird photographer. I have met wonderful friends and mentors from being involved in my local Audubon chapter.
I now try to find and 'capture' birds everywhere I travel. I hope you enjoy what I am sharing with you here, photography (particularly birds) have become a great passion for me!
